It is quite certain that an ancient farm existed on this site in the “Wappentake of Skyrack” in the 16th Century. To the rear of the Manor House in the oldest part there are stone mullioned windows dating from around 1540. The estate was owned by the Foxcroft family for at least 100 years from the latter half of the 16t Century. Once mistakenly know  as Weetwood.  A history of Leeds refers to Weetwood was rebuilt by Daniel Foxcroft Esq. in 1625 as dated above the porch of the original entrance. Decorative plasterwork as seen on the ceilings in the Manor House came to England through Henry VIII. Daniel Foxcroft late added the designs of the Tudor Rose.  Lion of England and the thistle amongst others in the early part of the 17th Century.  Look up after entering via the original porch-way a framed lion’s head can be seen in the ceiling. Weetwood Hall Wedding Photography

Woodlands Hotel Wedding Photography.  It was an autumn wedding day for Sarah and Gavin at Woodlands Hotel located in Leeds. Autumn is such a wonderful time of the year for wedding photography. The beautiful colours of the trees ranged from burnt orange, vibrant yellows and various shades of brown. The autumn colour scheme had been incorporated into the day. Sarah bright and bubbly personality became evident when we began the bridal preparation. Gavin was somewhat less relaxed until he was joined by his Best Man & Ushers.  He was then soon distracted by chaps jokes and banter. Woodlands Hotel Wedding Photography.
